Tomato Bacon Jam: Paleo Deviled Eggs topped

Paleo Deviled Eggs topped with Tomato Bacon Jam recipe. A satisfying Paleo, dairy-free, grain-free, gluten-free deviled eggs recipe topped with a tasty Paleo tomato bacon jam.
If you saw our last post sharing our Paleo Tomato Bacon Jam recipe, then you saw that we discovered this jam when we ordered a deviled eggs recipe that had a tomato bacon jam both on top and underneath the deviled eggs.
The flavor combo was so on point, that we knew we had to make our own version at home. Not only did we want to make a dairy-free, Paleo version, but we also didn’t want to have to wait to eat this dish again. Now we can make it whenever we want! 🙂

As we had mentioned in our prior post, we ordered a deviled eggs recipe topped with tomato bacon jam while our husband and we were on a trip in St. Augustine.
We were both blown away with how satisfying these deviled eggs were. The concept seemed quite simple, yet it was not something we had ever thought to do before.
That is something we love about exploring new places and restaurants. Discovering new flavor combinations and being inspired to recreate new and exciting dishes at home.
To recreate this dish, we had to 1) figure out how to make a Paleo Tomato Bacon Jam and 2) figure out how to make deviled eggs.

We had never made either before.
Which is crazy to us. Well, not ever having made tomato bacon jam isn’t crazy…and now that we posted a great Paleo Tomato Bacon Jam recipe, that can’t be our excuse.
However, never making deviled eggs before is crazy to us because we really loved them.
It’s kind of one of those things where, after you hard boil an egg, it’s easier to just eat it as is or to mix it with mayo and call it a day.
But honestly making deviled eggs really isn’t that much more work! It’s a mere matter of adding more spices to the hard boiled egg yolks when you smash them.

(we also put the egg yolk mixture into a plastic bag and used a piping kit to pipe the mixture into the eggs… this is more work BUT the result is a much more appetizing dish)
Then, really just top your deviled eggs with the tomato bacon jam and call it a day. 🙂
Though, we really like having some tomato bacon jam underneath the deviled egg as well as on top because we love having as much of that tomato bacon jam flavor as possible.

This Paleo Deviled Eggs topped with Tomato Bacon Jam is a great appetizer or snack to make to bring to a party or a summer BBQ.
We have to stay away from dairy because our infant is allergic to it and so we've been making a lot of our own food and bringing it to gatherings to ensure we can eat something without dairy in it.
This is exactly the type of appetizer or snack that you could make and that no one would know is paleo. 🙂
